Jeffrey S. Weisman, D.O., FACC
Founder and Managing Director
Dr. Weisman has been providing cardiovascular services to patients since 1980. He is currently the President of the Cardiac CT Institute of North America, a level 3 Coronary CTA center and serves as the Director of Cardiovascular Imaging for MNAP Diagnostic Center.

As an experienced cardiologist in practice since 1980, Dr. Weisman has been Director of the Special Care Unit of Rolling Hill Hospital; Chairman, Department of Medicine at Oxford Hospital; Chairman, Department of Medicine and Director of the Echocardiography Lab at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Weisman is also an accomplished software developer and inventor, having patented an edge detection algorithm for tracking the endocardial boundary during the cardiac cycle for use in echocardiography and other cardiac imaging modalities. He has also patented algorithms for automatic analysis of regional and global left ventricular function and for a noise reducing algorithm that reduces speckle noise in medical images.

Dr. Weisman is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases by the ABIM. He is also board certified in Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and has achieved Level 3 status (the highest level) by the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. Dr. Weisman is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine, Drexel University College of Medicine.

Dr. Weisman is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Fellow, American College of Chest Physicians, and Fellow of the American College of Angiology.

Harry J. Lessig, M.D.
Nuclear Medicine
Dr. Harry J. Lessig is a native Philadelphian who upon graduation from Central High School attended Muhlenberg College for his BS degree and then matriculated at Hahnemann Medical College for his MD degree. He received his Internal Medicine training at Monmouth Medical Center and returned to Hahnemann University for his Nuclear Medicine training, becoming certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine.

Following active military service in the United States Navy, he returned to the Philadelphia area and has very successfully directed departments of molecular imaging at Episcopal Hospital, Rolling Hill Hospital, J F Kennedy Hospital and most recently Deborah Heart and Lung Center.

He has been active in medical education for fellows, residents and medical students at Hahnemann University, Medial College of Pennsylvania, Temple School of Medicine, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-SOM, Robert Wood Johnson, and Deborah Heart and Lung Center.

In the process of managing successful molecular imaging departments, he has acquired great skill in nuclear cardiology which includes planar, SPECT, PET and PET/CT imaging along with all the diagnostic and therapeutic skills for general nuclear medicine and PET/CT for oncology.

Because of his knowledge and skills he has received fellowship honors in the American College of Nuclear Medicine and the American College of Nuclear Physicians.

Peter B. Kurnik, M.D., M.S., FACC, FACP
Consulting Cardiologist
Dr. Kurnik is Associate Chief of the Division of Cardiology, Director of Diagnostic & Interventional Cardiology and Professor of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine.

A graduate of M.I.T. and Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Kurnik is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association and the Society for Cardiac Angiography & Intervention.

He has been named a Top Doctor in Philadelphia and South Jersey.

Patients requiring cardiac catheterization are referred to Dr. Kurnik at Hahnemann University Hospital.

Steven P. Kutalek, M.D.
Consulting Cardiologist
Dr. Kutalek is director of Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and Associate Chief of the Division of Cardiology at Drexel University College of Medicine. He is Associate Professor of Medicine and Pharmacology and Medical Director of the Center City Drexel Cardiology Office.

Dr. Kutalek's specialties include pacemakers and new defibrillators, lead extraction and revision, metabolic aspects of rate-responsive cardiac pacing, antiarrhythmic medications, palpitations, lightheadedness and fainting. A graduate of New York University School of Medicine, Dr. Kutalek is a member of the American Heart Association and the Heart Rhythm Society and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Kutalek has been listed in Best Doctors in America 2007-08.

Patients requiring cardiac electrophysiology studies are referred to Dr. Kutalek at Hahnemann University Hospital.

Gilbert Zuckerman, M.D., FACC
Consulting Cardiologist
Dr. Zuckerman has been in Cardiology practice since 1978. After serving in The Public Health Service for two years, he completed his training with a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Cardiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

He has been director of Cardiology at Chestnut Hill Hospital and head of the Coronary Intensive Care Unit. He is board certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Zuckerman is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and has served as Vice President and President of the Medical Staff at Chestnut Hill Hospital. He is an assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mark W. Ansley, M.D.
Diagnostic Radiologist
An honors graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Ansley completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a fellowship in Neuroradiology at Temple University Hospital. He has participated in resident training as a clinical instructor at Temple Hospital.

Dr. Ansley has been in practice in Philadelphia for over twenty years and is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology. He is currently the chairman of Radiology at Lower Bucks Hospital, with a clinical focus on MRI, CT and Interventional Radiology.


Vicky Markman
As Cardiology Assistant, Vicky is Regional Cardiology Consultants' main contact person for all questions, scheduling, and appointments.

Vicky is also in charge of physician and patient follow-ups, coordinating between our multiple offices, scheduling hospital procedures, and maintaining imaging schedules.
